Criteria



The term "ecotourism" is used far too often to describe any type of travel into natural surroundings.  Unfortunately, this type of travel can have a very negative impact on the environment.  Due to the misunderstanding that surrounds the use of this term, there are several societies devoted to sustainable tourism which have set forth guidelines that need to be followed.  Here is one helpful list of criteria I found in Wikipedia...
